A feast is taking place in honor of Cleopatra. Guests admire the beauty and charm of the Queen.
In the midst of the feast, Cleopatra is dancing in front of the delighted guests. They are in love and are drawn to her with adoration. Emotions run high and Cleopatra offers a night of love to whoever is willing…but the price of this love, is the life of the lover. At dawn, he will die.
Death appears behind Cleopatra. All are amazed. Among the guests three men stepped forward to Cleopatra, the choice is made - they bought their love for a night, and the bed of "death" is calling them.
Cleopatra spends a night of love with each one wished to buy her love, but with the rising of dawn, the lover was killed.
The last of the three men was so young and beautiful that Cleopatra felt pity and tenderness for him. But Cleopatra vowed and to disrupt her vow she cannot. Sorrow about the destruction of the life of the young man is haunting Cleopatra. She feels the loneliness and sadness.
