 The basic idea of our ballet, unlike other productions of operas and ballets, more close to approximate to the novel "Carmen" by Prosper Merimee.

All is over between us. To love you again is impossible. I will not live with you. Now I love nobody. As my rom, you have a right to kill your romi; but Carmen will always be free. She was born free, and free she will die.

Not the new love Carmen to Toreador, but the love for her gypsy freedom, the freedom over which no one can rule - in this force, attractiveness and uniqueness of the image of Carmen.

«КАРМЕН» сочинён по одноимённой новелле

Проспера Мериме.

«Кармен» - одна из вершин творчества писателя – маленький шедевр.

Необузданная и страстная цыганка навсегда стала символом роковой и разрушительной силы любви.

новелла «Кармен», ставшая основой многочисленных балетных, оперных, театральных постановок и экранизаций, захватывает многих. В нашей постановке балета, хотелось подчеркнуть в отличие от знаменитых оперных и балетных версий, что Кармен готова на всё ради своей свободы. Её последние слова,: -Между нами все кончено. Любить тебя — не могу. Жить с тобой — не хочу. Теперь я больше никого не люблю. Ты вправе убить меня, но Кармен всегда будет свободна. Свободной она родилась и свободной умрет. Не любовь к торреадору, а любовь к своей цыганской свободе, свободе над которой никто на может властвовать – в этом сила , притегательность и неповторимость образа Кармен.

Theatre of Russian Ballet “Moscowia” was founded under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Russia in 1990 like State Ballet Theatre of Liliya Sabitova.

From 2005 Theatre of Russian Ballet “Moscowia” In repertory ballets “SWAN LAKE”, “CARMEN”, “BLUE BEARD”, “TRAVIATA”, “MEDEA”, “NIGHT OF APHRODITE”, “PEER GYNT”, “SORCERESS MARIA CALLAS”, “POET AND DANCER”, “NYMPH NEFELI” and many others classical and contemporary ballet performances.

Ballet MOSCOWIA, currently comprised of mostly young ballet dancers, all are graduates from Moscow and St. Petersburg ballet schools.

Company also has close collaboration with dancers from Bolshoi Ballet, ballet from Sankt Petersburg and with dancers from others companies.

The company has toured in many countries including: USA, SPAIN, ARGENTINA, JAPAN, PORTUGUESE, AUSTRALIA, GERMANY, CHINA, CYPRUS, ITALY, PARAGUAY, and many more.
