We invite you for an exclusive musical event as we pay tribute to the legendary Alan Barton, lead vocalist of the iconic British rock band “Smokie", who would have celebrated his 70th birthday in September 2023. This year also marks the 60th anniversary of the original “Smokie” group's foundation! Join us for an evening of nostalgia, celebration, and the enduring spirit of “Smokie”!

From the history of “SMOKIE”
Many people associate “Smokie” band with Chris Norman, but he left the group back in the mid-80s. This was the beginning of his successful solo career, but the group did not cease to exist, despite the adversity. Terry Uttley and Alan Silson, along with Alan Barton, created the “new” “Smokie”.
However, in March 1995, Alan Barton died tragically as a result of a road accident involving a tour bus. This tragedy prompted guitarist Alan Silson to also leave the band. The only remaining original member, bass guitarist Terry Uttley, decided to continue with “Smokie”
In October 2008, at a concert in Germany, Dean Barton (vocals, guitar), son of deceased Smokie lead singer Alan Barton, joined the band. Dean's energy and vocal capabilities took the band to new heights. With Dean's looks and voice reminiscent of both his father and Chris Norman, it was clear that Smokie's songs had finally found a worthy new singer.
The success of the renewed group exceeded all the expectations!
