At the very beginning of spring, when almonds and acacia are in bloom, the residents and guests of Cyprus will have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate International Women's Day by attending the opera evening "Golden hits of world classics".
On Wednesday, March 6 in Limassol, and on Saturday, March 9 in Paphos, the star of the Italian opera scene, Massimo Giordano, will take the stage to perform the most famous hits of world classics: "NESSUN DORMA", "E LUCEVAN LE STELLE", "UNA FURTIVA LAGRIMA", Italian and Neapolitan songs "O SOLE MIO", "MAMMA", as well as excerpts from the operettas "THE MERRY WIDOW" and "SILVA". You will take immense pleasure in hearing these works performed magnificently by Massimo Giordano.
MASSIMO GIORDANO is an Italian tenor who performs in the world's leading theaters, including the Paris National Opera, the German Opera in Berlin, the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, and others.
At the piano this evening will be a true virtuoso, the leading pianist of La Scala — NELSON CALZI. Special guest, the crystal soprano — ESTHER KANDINOVA, will adorn the evening with romantic arias, excerpts from operettas, and spring duets with Massimo.
