"Franz Kafka's Doll" – Two additional performances on 15 March 2025
Following the success of the first two performances of ‘The Doll of Franz Kafka’, Nicosia 2030 is organising two more performances on Saturday 15 March 2025, at 15:30 and 18:00, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
As a candidate for the European Capital of Culture 2030, Nicosia continues to invest in the younger generation. Following the success of "STILL! A statue that travelled the world", which attracted 12,000 spectators, the same award-winning creative team returns with “Franz Kafka's Doll”. Stavros Stavrou, Kostas Silvestros, and Thodoris Economou takes us into the magical world of a story that, in many ways, is based on true events - οne that reminds us that "what we love may be lost, but love will always return in another way." This captivating performance is filled with vivid imagery, live music, and humor.

Set in Berlin in the autumn of 1923, the story begins in a park where a little girl weeps inconsolably over the loss of her doll. There, she encounters the renowned writer Franz Kafka, who reassures her that the doll is not lost but has embarked on a great journey around the world. From that day on, the girl begins receiving letters—written by Kafka—describing her doll’s adventures across the globe.
