The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce the return of the stunning Ukrainian pianist Igor Tchetuev whose inspiring performance astonished our audience last year. Conducted by the world-renowned Charles Olivieri-Munroe, the celebrated pianist will perform the legendary Third Piano Concerto by Sergei Rachmaninov, one of the most demanding works of all times in the pianistic repertory. Yet another Russian masterpiece completes the programme: Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 4 which explores the concept of faith. The composer himself confessed, “I adore terribly this child of mine. It is one of only a few works with which I have not experienced disappointment. This is my best symphonic work”.

A creative electronic music workshop will take place in Nicosia on Saturday, December 9, as part of the additional activities of the Sonic Sage Festival which will be held in Cyprus for the first time.

The workshop is aimed for DJs and musicians who either developed their first steps in music creativity or they have already established some experience in Digital Audio Workstations (DAW), midi hardware controllers or hardware electronic music instruments.

The workshop instructors, Ilias Chadjoglou (GR) and Yiannis Michael (CY), both experienced in the field of electronic music, will be closing the workshop with a Hybrid Set. More details on the event will be announced soon.
