Antilogos Theater features Michalis Papadopoulos’ new electric play "The lake girls" directed by Neoklis Neokleous.
In light of a series of brutal femicides that are making headlines so often lately, Papadopoulos outlines without twists, based on interviews with psychologists, psychiatrists but also on the testimonies of police officers, a heavy issue, difficult and hidden in the silence of all those who experience violence in any form. He tries to cauterize the current reality, "gives voice" to the need to participate and react to gender-based violence, through strong emotions that culminate throughout the play. It sends a clear message that the viewer will take along, without being able to ignore it.
Stop the violence, stop the femicides…
