Vera Polozkova will present her new book "Lost and Found" in Limassol
Vera Polozkova: "I’ve written a new book, my first one published outside of Russia. It contains 77 texts: about love, about war, about craft, about time, about memory, about what has been lost and what has been gained. 77, because that was my mother’s age when she left me this year."
"It is about gratitude for the fortune of being alive and feeling everything threefold, because no one knows now how much time we have left or what experiences still lie ahead. It’s about what we’ve learned to cherish after losing so much forever."
A few years ago, Vera Polozkova and Alexander Manotskov reinvented the ancient genre of antiphons, where poetry, recitation, and music blend into one. Last season, Polozkova and Manotskov toured with Antiphons in 24 countries, regularly refreshing the content but preserving the original concept.
The new program will feature special songs written by Alexander Manotskov for Vera, performed for the first time, alongside readings from her new book, which has already arrived on the island.
