The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra continues its collaboration with musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, as it welcomes two more principals from its ranks: its Principal Horn, Stefan Dohr, and Wolfram Christ, long-time legendary Principal Viola of the Berlin Philharmonic, who is now a distinguished conductor. Stefan Dohr is one of the world’s greatest French horn soloists, proclaimed by the New York Chronicle as the “king of his instrument”. He will perform Richard Strauss’ Horn concerto no. 1, one of the most demanding concertos for this instrument. The concert will open with excerpts from Felix Mendelssohn’s breathtakingly beautiful incidental music to Shakespeare’s comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and will close with his Symphony no. 4, bursting forth with joie de vivre, energy and warmth, inspired by the composer's visit in Italy.

Caroline Martin, a lawyer and representative of the German government against the Greek claim for war reparations for the period of the Nazi occupation, visits Greece and meets Nikolas Andreou, one of the last survivors of the Kalavritos Massacre of 1943. narrates the events of the past, the two of them will confront their personal prejudices and beliefs in a painful confrontation that will bring them closer. This purifying journey through a dark chapter of history will lead to the recognition of a mutual need: the search for hope.

Santa Semeli and the Monks’s philosophy is to break down boundaries and interlink talents, genres and art forms into a show that celebrates music, theatre, and the spirit of humanity. On the second day there will be a programme of various styles of music by all choirs.

The Nicosia International Festival proudly hosts the 13-year-old pianist Anna Avraamidou, opening wide the stage of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre to accommodate her emerging talent. The charismatic, award-winning Cypriot teenage pianist will take us mentally, using her piano as a vehicle, to the dreams of autumn.

3. Σε άτομα ηλικίας κάτω των 12 ετών. Απαραιτήτως με την παρουσίαση ταυτότητας και με την συνοδεία γονέων!

Brothers Konstantinos and Matthaios Tsachouridis after two years without music, two years away from their audience returned to a new period of appearances, including the Nicosia International Festival. They exclaimed excitedly just like the organizers of the Festival "Finally" for the moment when they met again their audience. Together with Konstantinos and Matthaios Tsachouridis we will wander in the unique world of music with sounds, from Greece and all over the world, melodies created by them for their audience. Their goal is to color our moments with their music.
